Within New York City’s most elite families, there lurks a secret society of celebrated Americans whose ancestors sailed on the Mayflower. They are the powerful and the wealthy—and in fact, they are not human. They are the Blue Bloods, an ancient group of vampires.
Chrystian Van Alen has never fit in at Duchesne, his prestigious New York City private school. He prefers baggy, vintage clothes instead of the Sean John and such worn by his classmates, and he lives with his reclusive grandmother in a dilapidated mansion. Chrystian is a loner—and happy that way.
But when he turns fifteen, Chrystian’s life changes dramatically. He has a mosaic of blue veins on his arms, and craves raw meat. The death of a popular girl from Duchesne is surrounded by a mystery that haunts him. And strangest off all, Lex Force, the most popular boy in school, is showing a sudden interest in him.
Chrystian wants to find out the secrets the Blue Bloods are keeping. But is he himself in danger?

Deep in the heart of NYC, amongst the high-end shops and ritzy museums lies a secret hundreds of years in the making. The rich and powerful are not as they seem. In fact they are from an ancient lineage, that of the Blue Bloods.
They are vampires whose memories have been preserved through their past lives, making them extremely smart, strong, and lethal.
They have more power than you can imagine... but something is hunting them. The Croatans, vampires that feed on others of their kind, hide in the shadows and for now it seems Blue Bloods no longer hold rank at the top of the food chain.

Chrystian Van Allen lives with his grandmother, Cicillia Van Allen in an old mansion, The Van Allen Mansion. Their family was the main instablesment to many of the historic buildings in New York. His best and only friend, is Olivia Hazzard-Perry. They have been friends since birth. Chrystian's ONLY known living relative other than Cicillia is Amillia Van Allen, who is currently in a coma in a hospital, she has been that way ever since Chrystian's birth. The doctor's report that she is perfectly fine and all of her body is functioning normally, she just needs to wake up, and it could happen at any given time. It is unknown where his grandfather is and his father has never been around, many believe that he is dead. Even though Cicilla is Chrystian's only 'living' relative, their relationship is anthing but ordinary. They are more like acquantinces than family. Things take a turn from strange to worse in New York.

Chrystian Van Alen is confused about what is happening to him. Suddenly his veins are starting to turn blue, and he's starting to crave, out of all things, raw meat. Soon, his world is thrust into an intricate maze of secret societies and bitter intrigue. Chrystian has never been a part of the trendy crowd at his prestigious New York private school, Duchesne. Now, all of a sudden, Alexander Force, known to all as Lex, the most popular guy in school, is showing a sudden interest in Chrys. And when one of the popular girls is found dead, Chrys and Lex are determined to get to the bottom of it.

Chrys wants to find out the secrets of the mysterious Blue Bloods. But is he putting himself in danger? And with not only his and Lex's suspicion rising for a forbidden creature, but also a lust for one another, that's when Miranda Force, known as Mimi, is brought in. She is Lex's twin sister, and the most popular girl in school. The Force twins are the most powerfullest pair in New York, their father is Charles Force, who is the Proud owner of Force Media, a worldwide media program running everything from the news to fashion. Mimi is surrounded by friends, or her posse. Her newest member is Carrie Livingsten, she is a a new girl from Texas, she moved to New York because her father became one of the Senators.
Chrys hangs out with his close friend Olivia and his other friend David, who is dark and mysterious at times, but over all a good friend.
